Think about the things you loved as a child. For me, foremost was roaming the fields and bottomland of our family farm in Brenham, Texas. You never knew what you would find but with eyes peeled Nature always had an offering for you.
A bird’s nest, the jawbone of some mysterious and unidentifiable beast or maybe an insanely large seed pod from an over-cup acorn tree. These were Treasures to me. They fueled my imagination and curiosity for the Natural world. I was particularly fascinated when I found a piece of petrified wood, chunk of quartz or flint rocks that sparked when knocked together. I would think to myself, “these things come out of the ground? My child-mind was officially blown!
